You talk of nothing as if it’s all you have
You say you have nothing
Yet how can that be so?
If you have nothing, you have something
Isn’t that they way the shadows showed?

You talk about numbness
Ignorance from pain
Yet that’s all you FEEL
How can you be numb if you’re still hurting?

This is the way I see it, and maybe it’s just me
Is this the truth of the misery?

You wish you had nothing so you could care naught
Yet you still have something, have you forgot? <You say you have, but I doubt not>
You wish you were numb so you couldn’t feel the pain
Yet you are still “numb” AND hurting, care to explain?

Maybe I’m just young, silly and naïve
But none of this makes the sense that it ought to be
Maybe I’m just blind and ignorant, not able to see,
But it seems to me, you’re creating your own misery

So maybe I over did it, over stepped the line
I’m sorry if I did, but really I don’t mind
I just want to know the truth….well, make you admit it
Wait…have you admit it

Make is to authoritative,
Have is a suggestion,
A word better used for you to answer my questions

And if you can’t tell
I’m being sarcastic and playful
When maybe it’d be better if I was pleasing and careful…
